Lead Bookkeeper and Client Manager

Financial Clarity Co seeks a Lead Bookkeeper and Client Manager to join our growing multi-national team. This role will interface directly with our clients and our client service teams to ensure that our clients books are kept up to date and that we're delivering valuable reporting and insights that help them grow their business. Founded by two entrepreneurs - one in the US and one in India - Financial Clarity services clients throughout the US and Canada in a variety of industries.

This role is new to the organization and will work directly with both our US and our India teams to service our clients. The ideal team member would have a strong accounting background, experience working with small and mid-sized businesses, and have previous experience with Quickbooks (Online and Desktop) and Xero. This is a leadership role and this person will manage, mentor, and train team members as the business continues to grow. 

We are a flexible team with flexible hours and are looking for a strong cultural fit for the team and the company. This role will be 100% remote and this role can be self-managed as to when the work is completed and candidates returning to the workforce or looking to balance this role amongst other obligations are still invited to apply. 


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting guidance to clients and Financial Clarity Co team members
  • Acting as the primary account manager and contact for clients of various sizes in various industries
  • Interfacing with our India service teams and acting as the conduit between our clients and their servicing teams
  • Identifying accounting system efficiencies that can be gained through tools, software, and technologies to better serve our clients needs
  • Leading new client on-boarding and process documentation to ensure a smooth transition to Financial Clarity Co



  • Accounting degree and minimum 5 years work experience preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks Online (additional experience with Xero is great but not required)
  • Small and mid-size business accounting and bookkeeping knowledge and experience required
  • Comfortable with learning new technology and accounting applications quickly
  • Demonstrated management experience - training and mentoring team members 
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines using excellent time management skills with ease and professionalism
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and the Google Suite
  • Professional w/excellent interpersonal & organizational skills

Compensation: $40 - 60k / year, DOE
